Welcome!

After putting off taking on the challenge of setting up and starting a blog for the past 2 months, I am finally taking the time to get things up and running! I love having the ability to connect with customers through Facebook but I hope to use this blog to keep everyone more up to date with the latest happenings at Little Love's Designs, host giveaways and get to know all of my wonderful customers :)

Back to the purpose of this first post, I wanted to take the time to introduce myself and give everyone a little background on how Little Love's Designs came about.

My name is Mandy and I started Little Love's Designs in December of 2010. When I found out I was pregnant in 2008 I came across Etsy and loved all of the adorable handmade original items that I couldn't find anywhere in local stores. In March of 2009 I found out I would be having a little girl and the Etsy obsession began. I was always looking to buy something for my baby girl and several times thought to myself that I would love to start making hair accessories for my daughter and possibly even sell them in my own Etsy store, but any time I would start to consider purchasing large quantities of materials and spending money to get my business up and running, I would talk myself out of it, fearing the store wouldn't be successful enough.

Finally at the beginning of December 2010 I decided to go for it and open up my Etsy store. I named my business after my daughter, who I call my 'little love.' I have been so overwhelmed with how quickly the store became a success and feel so blessed to be able to work from home and do something that I love. All of the sweet comments I've received on my headbands and knowing that my hair accessories have been used in specials occasions such as weddings, newborn photos, first Christmas', etc, is what keeps me going even when things get hectic!

So, welcome to our blog and please feel free to comment and say hello, I love to get to know all of our wonderful customers!
